This is the line in the sand. These little tyrants can pass any grotesque piece of garbage they want. I will simply not comply. Anyone that does is a fool. In the words of the late great Charlton Heston, “From my cold dead hands!”

Hey, since owning a firearm is a constitutional right, according to the SCOTUS, maybe the ACLU and ACORN will fight this one for us, since they don't want you to have to show ID in order to vote in federal elections, which BTW, is NOT a constitutional right...

And somebody might want to inform ol Bobby that one of the prime reasons for gun control in the USA was to keep guns out of the hands of ... You guessed it, Black people!

I'll just be standing over here, holding my breath.

Under HR 45, if you can’t pass a complex test written by the U.S. Attorney General (described in detail below), pay the tax, give up fingerprints and a biometric-capable photo of yourself (that can be turned into a digital facial-recognition number and used as a de facto national ID), every gun you own will become contraband and subject to confiscation, while you stand trial before imprisonment. You’d think Bobby, a former black panther, would know better.

Your rights will have an expiration date, and if you screw up and miss it, you’ll be in the same mess as people who can’t pass the test. Can you say “unconstitutional”? Do you think these “gun bigots” care?”

******

And this only took one day from Bobby Rush a former black panther! I can’t believe even many of the whacked out gun grabbing dims would support something like this, but I’ve been wrong before.

Man, it’s gonna be a very long 4 years.

Gun owners are asleep at the wheel. 0 has lulled them into complacency. How many gun owners voted for him? Was ti 47% of those who cast votes. Saw that somewhere.

What a mishmash. Was the author of the article drunk, or typing with his lefthand while doing something else?

"open only to the trade"

I don't know how or why, but in the early nineties I received in the mail a two day pass to the SHOT Show in New Orleans. I couldn't get off work to attend.

Attaching amendments to the bill (if possible) adding similar requirements for voting and/or political speech.

If the government can tax one right, certainly they can tax others.

Certainly would focus government abuse.

The "handgun bayonet" sounds kinda stupid, but Tromix makes a nice muzzle brake for rifles (the "Shark Break") that also doubles as a circular bayonet:

It's not as lethal as a real bayonet, but you probably would not want to be jabbed with it.

Your post helped form an idea, had to check it out first. If you go to dogpile and enter gun shows as a keyword, you`ll get listings of shows planned for the whole country. Can you post a listing of ALL the present anti-second amendment bills pending before this bunch of buffoons?Maybe we can form up adhoc groups that can print up lists of the bills with their senate/house numbers and the local or pertinent congressional contact information such as email, snail mail, and phone numbers. Then we can go to these shows and pass out these home made hand bills to all who`ll listen and ask then to help contact these people and get them to stop them, maybe enlist these people to recruit their own friends and family to help out?

I think this may be a way for us to help organize at a grassroots level, maybe establish links to others who`ll share similar conservative ideology on other points, and even get more freepers to sign up too.As an added bonus,it may help get many of us out of this fugue that seems to have settled over many conservatives. We need to start forming aliances and organizing at a grassroots level to fight back and this seems like a good a place to start, can`t find too many liberals at a gun show! What do you think?Any suggestions?
