I think we need to use it on occasion. It would seem that torture exists in varying degrees. Some of the considerations would be permanent damage, amount of pain or discomfort, length of the torture, period of recovery, offering or not offering medical attention, physical or psychological.
It would seem that all of these factors would be considered and that we should have a range of tortures available for the situation and the resistance of the person being tortured.
I can't wait for the first death caused because we pussfooted around a suspect who wouldn't talk and people died.
I am sure people have died already. I can't understand why water boarding shouldn't be used. I am for torture. In fact I could come up with quite a few ways to make terrorists talk & none of them would be as nice as water boarding. And I wouldn't feel any guilt over them either. I don't feel we can deal sanely with a bunch of kooks who are willing to be jihadists. I also believe if they can behead then all is fair in war. You behead Americans then we toss you into a pen of hungry pigs or you talk asap.
