Seems like an odd pick for New York State. A Democrat who acts more like a Republican than Republicans do.
“She voted against the bailout last fall and she is a second amendment supporter too”
Already she’s better than more than half the GOPers in the Senate already.
We’ll see how well she stands up to liberal pressure to reverse her positions, though.
Wow, a D.I.N.O. - Who’da thunk it.
Like, way better pick than, you know, C.K.
If Gillibrand is a Second Amendment supporter, that would be almost too good to be true (I know little about NY politics but I hope you are right). We can survive all kinds of economic mismanagement (which we will have plenty of). When socialist policies fail as they must, people will eventually turn to alternatives. But when politicians restrict the fundamental rights of citizens, things go from bad to very dangerous.
Are you sure she is a Second Amendment supporter and not a typical Democrat who supports the right of a hunter to own one .22 caliber single-shot rifle, as long as it is stored in a police station and can only be checked out for an hour once a year? I am not challenging what you said, I just cannot believe any one other than a rabid anti-gunner would be allowed to replace Clinton.
“She voted against the bailout last fall and she is a second amendment supporter too, a much better pick than Kennedy. “
Given some of the alterantives we ought to be thankful she was the pick.
I hope the RNC is paying attention. If the Dems are trying to cut them off on the right as well as the left, what possible reason would a conservative have to support the Republicans?
Considering their pathetic candidates and the fact that they don't have the guts to fight for conservative values or oppose Obama in the name of "getting along," why on Earth SHOULDN'T conservatives take a look at the Dems if they are willing to put people like this up? I'm not saying she's perfect, but she's no more objectionable than RINO's like Olympia Snow, and I'm expected to support Snow because there's an R after her name.
I'm loyal to conservative values, not a party, and the RNC better get a clue fast, as in NOW, or this party is doomed.
