That one-armed, no-legged SOB had acted that way to me, I'd have punched his good eye out too...
Or maybe not. I'm just a citizen.

Pleaded? As opposed to plead?

LOL. Abuse by cops isn’t on the rise. It’s just that in an age of camera phones they’re getting caught in the act more often.

It used to be much worse. In the sixties I was amazed at what cops did openly in front of each other, they were a powerful and somewhat criminal gang.
Back then they did and took what they wanted.

He obviously was not demonstrating sufficient respect for the cop and thus needed to be taught a lesson.

Pleaded? As opposed to plead?Past tense. Should be 'pled'.
It appears, however, that the AP and NYT stylebooks prefer 'pleaded' to 'pled'. See the discussion here:

Ah, you’re right. I hit the ‘a’ key whilst typing. But I think you’re agreeing, generally, that -ed shouldn’t have been used.

Hanged vs. Hung. I may be hung, but I haven't been hanged. Yet.
Drowned is worse. I hate verbs that hide out like this.

Pleaded would be correct. It’s always been in use, but it’s moved from an inflective form to standard use. Personally, I like it better. Less confusion and it’s closer the root word: Plaiden.

Back then they did and took what they wanted.
And now, video cameras are interfering with their ability to do the job the only way they know how.
It's a shame that these stalwart defenders of decency and justice can't work a perp over without some punk with a camera trying to interfere with police work.
Maybe there needs to be a law making video taping or photographing or doing a pencil drawing of anyone in uniform a felony carrying a minimum of 5 years in prison.
There's just no excuse for interfering with police like that...
(dripping sarcasm)
To: Dr.Zoidberg
I think those cameras also encourage the good cops and the good management, and that law enforcement has become much more professional in modern times.
We have lost a lot too though, there were some things better about those old cops that doesn’t exist now.
Modernity always has a trade off.

Dude, they are gone. Like calling "free donuts" at a fire.
Their guy won. They are seeking positions in a world that they expect you to build.
Some form will be back after they starve.

Plaiden.Actually, I think the phrase was pladin noblis. But my latin is rusty.
The cool part is that all the useless eaters are going to go begging.
The bad boys with guns and radios and trucks have been laid off long enough to sniff out game trails.
Who, sir, has been had?
