Nothing was done but talk

au contraire..people made MULTI-MILLIONS..Gore at the top of the list..

I know your response was sarcastic, but people are now sitting back, counting their money INCLUDING those “scientist proponents” who grabbed all their grant money and will continue to do so as long as slop is heaped in the trough..

I thought the world was going to end.

Maybe it is, but not because of global warming. Just walk outside and you will be convinced, global warming is over. Now it might come back (say about June or so) but for now we have it licked.

We have a much bigger problem to address now - global starvation due to lack of sunlight. I just looked out the window and the sun is gone! Crops will fail, people will stumble and fall!

Who do I send a check to so we can avert disaster? WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!

I ran this through a highly sophisticated prose style analyzer. It scored high in six out of seven style marker indicators, which gives it an 85.7% probability that it is satire.

” Who do I send a check to so we can avert disaster? “

Almost a great parody, but you outed yourself as a conservative with that penultimate sentence...

A true Liberal would have asked “Who can we blame and/or tax and/or regulate .....”

I wish they’d just shut up. I was listening on the radio this morning and some idiot was talking about how eating vegetarian reduces one’s carbon footprint as if such a thing is good or bad. The way that “carbon” is thrown around with such disregard for the fact that carbon is not manufactured out of thin air. It all comes out of the environment and is a part of the environment. Utilizing resources is not bad or good and utilizing less of them does not indicate merit.

Arrogance. Hubris. The lefties think that they have "conquered" global warming. It hasn't occurred to them that weather/climate changes of this magnitude are unaffected by what humans do or don't do. The earth's orbit in the solar system and the solar system's orbit in the galaxy have impacts that are completely beyond the control of humans. The periodic cycles are observable and have continued over hundreds of millions of years. The sun continues to be devoid of sunspots...a condition that has nothing to do with anything done by the inhabitants of earth.

Global warming has been "officially" declared to be licked?
Not surprising, because it was just as ignorantly announced to exist in the first place.

Unfortunately, it is false, completely and thoroughly.

We still have seasons, and we still have the global record showing dozens, if not hundreds of cycles of warming and cooling in the last 400,000 years.

Anthropogenic contributions, however, are still a serious threat. Since it exists entirely in the minds of the gullible, the frauds and the charlatans, it will always be with us.

I'm gonna go sort my socks, now.

Vegetarians and PETA types put on superior airs while completely ignoring all the moles, voles, gophers and innocent insects destroyed to prepare the earth to grow their precious vegetables. They ignore all the diesel fuel burned to plow the fields, harvest the crops and deliver them to the markets. They ignore all the natural gas converted into specialized fertilizers to help those vegetables grow. They ignore all the electrical power consumed to pump the water necessary to grow the vegetables. They are ignorant fools if they believe their precious vegetables have a small "carbon footprint".

I kept waiting for the “we need to emit more CO2 to prevent any further cooling” punch line.

I found this about the author. It seems that he is completely serious, not a spoof....

The Desert Trail runs 656 miles through California. Steve Tabor of Alameda has alphabetized it into 26 weekend hikes, A to Z, starting at the Mexican border in winter. When he isn’t walking the barren landscape, Tabor, 58, is a pumper and operator at a vegetable oil refinery in Richmond.

Hahaha! The envirowackos will never admit they are wrong on the issue, so now they're saying that there was a problem, but now it's all over. It must have been the immaculation (tm--Rush) of Obama that fixed it, you know.

I read this twice, and I’m still not sure if it’s a sample of stupid leftist thinking, or a brilliant parody of stupid leftist thinking.

As is my wont lately, I plugged "global cooling" into Yahoo News, and this from the Berkeley Daily Planet came up. I have had no familiarity with the Berkeley Daily Planet before this. Steve Tabor apparently wrote 28 OpEds for them already. Maybe our FRiends can give us some more info.
