Happy Birthday to the hubby! Down pillows will definately make him happy. Thank you for being so faithful to the troops. You amaze me.
As for me, I’m doing ok. I have heard others on this site talk about depression over O’s victory, and realized at some point that I am too. I tried to be brave, but now feel sorrow and loss. Thanks again for listening.

Dear Cubby,
I was seriously depressed all last summer as I could read the writing on the wall, and since then I’ve put the world and myself in God’s hands and am just enjoying each day as best I can.
Watching comedies (like Third Rock from the Sun) and reading (Fleeced) and got all ten seasons of Stargate and Smallville second hand and watched them all. Now we are watching 24, and the Unit, and CSI: NY, and Lost and Smallville regularly.
We subscribed to the Wall Street Journal and it is delivered to our driveway every morning. It’s fabulous and cheaper than buying a paper at the newsstand.
Also we are now doing Netflik and I’m watching all the old Stargate Atlantis, and a bunch of other stuff hubby orders.
So we are entertained and I am avoiding the news or just shaking my head and thinking, “Science can’t be b.s.’ed for that long. Reality is going to catch up with the Dems and the gullible American public.” I’m sorry for this country, but reality can’t be denied forever and the consequences will have to be learned by a couple of generations that were brainwashed in school and just don’t know better. It is the way it is.
God’s laws are the physics of our social order, and Man is fallen and will eventually mess things up so bad that the End Times will be here. Luckily we have our Savior to take comfort. Just wish I’d made the cut for the rapture. It’s going to be weird if this is the Tribulation coming. Somehow I’m in a mental place to be able to take that as simply God’s truth, and accept it. So, I feel lucky now that I have already passed through my depression to see anew the true Hope of the World.
We are having a nice gentle rain now, and God’s world is beautiful. So, I am going to enjoy it while we have it.
