“Just the opinion of an old country boy, but we need God real bad.”
We need a lot more country boys and a lot fewer urban hedonistic snots, quite frankly. You’re absolutely right about the moral crisis facing this country, and the way we’ve let liberals infiltrate the school system without a conservative movement at all to take it back, well, I can’t say things look too good from this vantage point.

I'm afraid you are right. My wife is a teacher and she is one of the few conservatives at the school. She teaches young children and they said grace before lunch and she got chewed out over it.All the parents were OK with it, the children wanted to do it,but the school said no. What is happening in our public school system is really sad. If she was forcing the children to pray, that would be different. The school was the only party that had a problem. And just FYI - they have a book called “Buster's Sugartime” that talks about one characters 2 Mommy's. And That's ok. It's put out by PBS. Our tax dollars at work. And FRiend, one more thing - I'm not in San Francisco or Vermont. I'm in rural Arkansas in the Bible Belt. We really are in deep trouble.

Once the public school system was established, it was inevitable that it would wind up being controlled by *some* special interest or another. In this case the far left.
As Milton Friedman says, just because there is a rationale for government-funding of education that doesn’t mean there is a rationale for government-administration of schools.
