In 1984 our son was hit and killed. the Mexican kid who hit him had a lawyer write us a letter asking us to buy him a new car because his was destroyed. And he said he was still suffering from his injuries(were we going to be moved by this?) . We instructed our lawyer to write back and say “no” to the car and to inform him our son was still dead. Fortunately we never heard from him again.

When my now deceased first wife was critically injured by another driver (who was issued 3 tickets for various offenses) her lawyer had the nerve to ask me to 'settle' the claim while I was sitting in court.

My wife AND my best friend were still in intensive care.

This dirtball told me he would 'settle' right there if I'd drop the traffic offenses.

I asked him to step outside the Courtroom for a moment so we could have some privacy.

I returned to the Courtroom a few minutes later alone.

Mr. Lawyer found he had someplace else to be rather urgently.

I have nothing to say about his limp.
