Thanks. I just got off the phone with my son. He’s already off campus tonight at the house he rents near the elementary school right off campus. He’d heard someone had been “murdered tonight”. This again, is so bizarre. I’m sure everyone is at a loss because Blacksburg and Virginia Tech are really so idyllic in so many ways.

My daughter works in that building. Fortunately, she was off tonight.

I’m talking on AIM with a friend down there. She doesn’t know what’s going on other than through the two e-mails sent out to all students. However, she said that she’ll find out eventually, since she has class in the building in question later this week.

Still...Virginia Tech? Again? Shucks.

Crime happens anywhere. Which is why people with carry permits should be able to carry them everywhere.
