“However, you will find that most schools in America watched the 1/2 hour tv coverage.”

Fair enough.
But I think the problem that most of us have is the double standard cloaked in the “history” disguise.
Do you think that most schools watched the 2001 and 2005 inaugurations? Did yours?

Your a school teacher and made some innocent kids watch the usurper take the oath. I’m glad my children did not watch this racists s.o.b take the oath. He’s a racist and the prayer was racist as well. I think you owe your pupils an apology for watching a Muslim take over the USA.
Could someone link the after pics of the inauguration? I heard it was trashed and wanted to see.
After listening to an O'bama speech..
Proper mental grooming requires wiping your mind..
before the data is flushed..
I don’t remember being asked to see the inauguration before. Students were very interested because of all the media hype this time. Not one student actually listened to any speech.(boring) They mostly just asked who each dignitary was..ie former Presidents etc, and I could point out who each person was. Some students didn’t watch and worked on math homework. But, we were required to make it available by our school. As a registered Republican and campaign worker for Sarah Palen and McCain I found it amusing that such a big deal was made of this one. We discussed the outrageous cost compared to the Bush inauguration in a time of economic crisis. Also, a person from our town is in the Secret Service guarding the VP so we were also looking for him in the crowd. All in all, my students were not impressed by all the hoopla. I also used it as a teachable moment to discuss respect of public officials. New York is actually lucky in one respect. You Americans took Hillary off our hands!! Yay. But I can’t say that in school of course. Sorry to go on, but don’t assume that I “forced” anyone to watch that 1/2 hour. It was strictly voluntary. And I repeat, no person listened intently to any speech. My Sarah Palen buttons are saved at home. Some day I will be the first to have one when she runs again. Once I am retired I can “come out of the closet” as a Republican in New York State. (I worked the headquarters and phone bank only - not in school)
“Obama’s inaugural address tracked much of Reagan’s first inaugural address — minus the substance “
And minus the optimism!
Thank you very much!!
A country that enjoys “American Idol” and the rest of the sorry cavalcade of unreality TV losers...
Ann really nailed the “Do you want Obama to succeed?” nonsense.
How many Democrats were asked in 2001, “Do you want Bush to succeed?”
I don't.
If he is successful, our country will be ruined.
I hope he finds bottlenecks every time he puts into play any parts of his agenda that will be detrimental to our country.
Such as closing Gitmo, pulling coal from electricity production (responsible for 50% of electricity production, it will raise prices sky-high), changing the white house website to pro-abortion...oh oh, whoops he already did that.
Yeah real tough job, three months out of year you take off. real tough
Math give you trouble in high school, Ann?
Mr. Robinson is one lucky man!
“The only thing the press hasnt covered is Obamas bowel movements.....Maybe I shouldnt have mentioned that because.........”
You are so wrong on this one. They have not covered his experience, or lack thereof. They have not covered the content of his character, or lack thereof. They have not covered his bi-partisanship, or lack thereof. They have not covered his patriotism, or lack thereof. What do you think they have covered about Obama?
