Hanford Democrat gets newly created state job

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Former Democratic Assemblywoman Nicole Parra has a new job in the Schwarzenegger administration coordinating economic development. Parra will earn $128,124 directing the governor's regional development issues in the Business, Transportation and Housing Agency.

Parra, who termed out last year, earned headlines when assembly Speaker Karen Bass evicted her from her Statehouse office for not supporting her party's budget proposal. Parra, from Hanford, represented the 30th Assembly District from 2002 to 2008. After terming out, she supported Republican Danny Gilmore in his successful bid to succeed her.

A budget crises and he gives Nicole Parra a $128000/yr job? I guess his reasoning is that we’re so far in the hole what’s another 100+ thou. He’s beyond stupid. This state deserves to go down the toilet on his watch.

Just one more reason why Arnold is the biggest A-hole governor and hypocritical jerk in Sacramento. He is as big a spender as all the Dems in the legislature. I am sorry I ever voted to recall Gray Davis. He was bad but at least he didn’t have an accent and wear a Speedo.
