I thought the election was winnable. We just did not have the right candidate.

It was winnable until the October Bailout fiasco with Pres. Bush being the face of it. That was perceived as the financial 9/11, and I don’t think anyone could have won at that point. Not to say McCain was great, he wasn’t, but in reality we were doomed the day the collapse happened.
