Close to 1.5 million people poured onto the National Mall Tuesday, and the biggest police action appeared to be reuniting parents with their lost children, law enforcement officials said.
We had a crowd stretching from the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial and for the most part it was an orderly and festive, said U.S. Park Police Sergeant Robert LaChance. We couldnt have asked for a better day.
No arrests were made as of Tuesday afternoon, according to D.C., National Park and U.S. Capitol police.

Can you post a synopsis of what you heard on the scanner? Please say you recorded it. (Is it legal to record?)
Ah yes, If you just ‘detain’ them and don’t book’em, it doesn’t count as an arrest...
I guess they didn’t arrest any of the thugs that overturned the bus? Did you hear that when you were listening yesterday?

If this is true, perhaps it is because the majority of those who came to the ceremony are spoiled children in adult bodies (libs). And like with spoiled children, they can be very good when they are getting their way. They got their way yesterday.
No pickpockets? No littering? No suspicious characters? No dope smoking?
REALLY?
Although considering how many times I heard "can't get through - too many people - call so & so's unit" I suppose it is possible that there were no arrests. It's also possible that there was an effort made to NOT arrest anyone no matter what they did.
They left it to someone else to pick up the garbage they brought with them:
Inaugural Trash Challenge ('Eco-friendly' trash Mall)
Police were instructed not to arrest for fear of being labeled racists.
And by the time the parade was half over, there was no one left to be arrested.
Certainly sounds that way. Don't expect this same protocol when there are protests at other OBAMA(TM) public appearances.
Latest number is 800,000 but elephant media continues to spout the 2 million count. Actually LBJ out drew OHB.
Public appearances followed by private disappearances.
And remember, the population was much smaller during the time of LBJ. As I pointed out yesterday, the crowds at Mardi Gras in New Orleans are much greater than this "historic event".
The usual libtard/Dem solution to crime; turn a blind eye, or legislate it out of existence.
I expect a lot of that during the next 4 years.
Carjacking? Hell no. It is now an "unauthorized use of a vehicle."
Of course there is always the chance that they didn’t arrest because ( like in some neighborhoods I am aware of) the crowd would have decided to become less than friendly
“In Old America you look for party; in New America, Party looks for you...”
No ugly, disrespectful, hateful protests from the opposition like there would be if a Republican were being inaugurated?
LOLOL.......Katie Couric said it best last night.
I find that hard to believe.
