One HAS to be an elitist to be a Leftist. In their twisted world, those who do not share their views are by definition stupid and/or ill-informed.

Being confident of one’s opinions comes from being committed to finding the truth and to have the humility to recognize that your perception is fallible and your knowledge is finite. Therefore, your conclusions are always subject to revision.

Being opinionated comes from a self-delusional belief that you are somehow Blessed with an innate ability to perceive a Truth that requires little if any research and is not amenable to review.

Logic, facts and reason thus cannot penetrate the mindset of the Philosopher Kings of the Left.

That's the part that stood out to me. She didn't have to admit it, it's obvious that liberals and the media (their liberalism is a given) think they alone have access to the truth, and that it must be explained to the unwashed masses, along with what to think.
