This viewpoint illustrates perfectly the contempt the left hold for the US military. As if they all are children who need to be protected from all danger, rather than caring, thinking men and women who have knowingly sacrificed for the USA. This is despicable and condescending.

I agree with you completely and have thought this for some time. Only a matter of time before he has a mental crackup. Maybe even involving crack!
He is simply stating in different words what I mean when I say that most of Obama’s supporters are “willfully ignorant”. Many other people have used the same two words, what is meant is that there cannot be that many people who are that dumb. Anybody who just watches Obama, listens to him and thinks a little would have to realize what is being sold here but some people just refuse to see.

Have you ever found yourself doing something that you knew was not the right thing, watching yourself make a mistake? I have the feeling that a lot of those who are praising the new messiah are feeling that way. It seems almost as though something is in the air that prevents rational though and action.

I think at some fundamental level, politics and religion are matters of faith, magic, and miracles for many people, rather than objective subjects open to rational interpretation and analysis. Religion by definition needs those attributes, but politics apparently touches the same parts of the brain for many people and is reduced to similar dogmatic madness.
