Change Has Come
This is repulsive to say the least. When Bill Clinton had the White House full of incompetent interns I thought that was bad, but read this and its entirely clear that Barrack Hussein Obama and his entire administration are staffed by imbeciles. God help us all.
Tuesday, January 20th, 2009 at 12:01 pm Change has come to WhiteHouse.gov
Welcome to the new WhiteHouse.gov. I'm Macon Phillips, the Director of New Media for the White House and one of the people who will be contributing to the blog.
A short time ago, Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44th president of the United States and his new administration officially came to life. One of the first changes is the White House's new website, which will serve as a place for the President and his administration to connect with the rest of the nation and the world.
Millions of Americans have powered President Obama's journey to the White House, many taking advantage of the internet to play a role in shaping our country's future. WhiteHouse.gov is just the beginning of the new administration's efforts to expand and deepen this online engagement.
Just like your new government, WhiteHouse.gov and the rest of the Administration's online programs will put citizens first. Our initial new media efforts will center around three priorities:
Communication -- Americans are eager for information about the state of the economy, national security and a host of other issues. This site will feature timely and in-depth content meant to keep everyone up-to-date and educated. Check out the briefing room, keep tabs on the blog (RSS feed) and take a moment to sign up for e-mail updates from the President and his administration so you can be sure to know about major announcements and decisions.
Transparency -- President Obama has committed to making his administration the most open and transparent in history, and WhiteHouse.gov will play a major role in delivering on that promise. The President's executive orders and proclamations will be published for everyone to review, and thats just the beginning of our efforts to provide a window for all Americans into the business of the government. You can also learn about some of the senior leadership in the new administration and about the Presidents policy priorities.
Participation -- President Obama started his career as a community organizer on the South Side of Chicago, where he saw firsthand what people can do when they come together for a common cause. Citizen participation will be a priority for the Administration, and the internet will play an important role in that. One significant addition to WhiteHouse.gov reflects a campaign promise from the President: we will publish all non-emergency legislation to the website for five days, and allow the public to review and comment before the President signs it.
We'd also like to hear from you -- what sort of things would you find valuable from WhiteHouse.gov? If you have an idea, use this form to let us know. Like the transition website and the campaign's before that, this online community will continue to be a work in progress as we develop new features and content for you. So thanks in advance for your patience and for your feedback.
Later today, well put up the video and the full text of President Obamas Inaugural Address. There will also be slideshows of the Inaugural events, the Obamas move into the White House, and President Obamas first days in office.
yep, wait til they overturn the 22nd amendment.
This is how Democracy dies....
Not to gunfire and wailing, but to the sounds of thunderous applause.
Fascism has arrived, and its riding a dark horse.
This is how despots are created. And the same adoration, by nearly the same identical groups like academes, the media, and the nouveau rich is what brought Hitler to power.
MAY GOD SAVE US ALL....
Hey look at it this way ....at least Hollywood is happy
And who knows? Maybe they'll make a loving, Obama themed movie....or 20.
On its face it is a great idea. I like it. If it was a solid conservative president I am sure we would be proud of such contemporary accessible integration of the new media and the executive branch. Since it is not our party it is understandable we wonder what the full intent of such a website and outreach might mean.
Until something significant and concerning does begin or comes to light I will not say anything more than--good idea. I hope it is used in a fair and somewhat non partisan fashion. If it is used otherwise then the new self appointed ‘Lincoln’ may just have a second civil war on his hands.
On a positive they don't have anyone else to blame when their little desire are not fulfilled other than their own. So we will see how long their King status holds. It may be some kind of fun watching him fall from 'grace.' Let's hope in the interim not too much damage is done to the rest of us and our great country.
Transparency -- Show your Birth Certificate and have it verified as authentic!!!! And while your being transparent whats your real name is it Barack Hussein Obama? Barry Soreto ? And what are you hiding by changing your name?
There was this alarming photo on the front page of the Fresno Bee a while back. It was very striking in that it showed a crowd with their arms in the heil position toward bHo. The photo was taken from behind bHo towards the crowd and he also had his arm in the heil position. It gave me the shivers.
We dont give a dam about nothin
Really?...ever been to BiH during the 1990's?
Just wondering...
Smelt like bleach.
Here’s another request for the usurper: Show us your FIRST US passport - the one which you used to go to Indonesia as a child. Failing that, how about the passport you used to travel to Pakistan as a student at Occidental College. Or if you can’t find that one, how about the passport you used when you and your lovely wife sojourned in Bali as you struggled to write “Dreams from my Father”?
The reason we’re interested in these passports is that in the interest of transparency, Phil berg’s FOA request has apparently unearthed the fact that the FIRST US Passport issued to Barack Hussein Obama wasn’t issued until he was already a Senator!
And, naturally, this raises questions. Unanswered questions.
Transparency, anyone?
i’m getting in my whoop-de-mobile and driving down to DC
My disappointment is not with our new President, he is what he is.
I’m disappointed with the 50% of America that are so gullible and so eager to blindly follow this man.
Even during the inauguration it felt more like a worship service of ONE MAN, rather than a time-honored ceremony to pay tribute to a GREAT COUNTRY....and an incredible political system that has served us so well.
Will these immature people ever get past this “idol worship” of Obama?
Weinstein-Barack
Actually, bizrocket, that is exactly how I feel. His supporters are either reverse racists or Bush haters, take your pick. To vote for someone on those grounds is just plain crazy if you really have no idea about who you are voting for. We don’t know very much about his background, and the little bit we do know is not good (Wright, Rezko, Ayers, Farrakhan etc) not to mention the fact that we don’t know about his college grades, health records, etc. as none of that stuff can be found anywhere. And people just fell for it en masse. I will never understand that.
