Totally Awesome
President Reagan 1981 Inaugural Address
Lots of folks hitting it, but oh man, this is sweet !!
The speech is coming down slow but it is so amazing, folks, there is a hunger for a leader like this, everybody is watching this video, all of a sudden it’s very highly rated on YouTube, you have to watch this ...
Massive bump - Must Watch !
That was good. Actually watched it starting at exactly noon instead of what’s his name.
I’m going to have my son watch this tonight.
I was there to hear it.
Wonderful! The only speech I heard today, as there is an Obama Blackout in my house....
Every Republican in the House and Senate should watch this before they start their day.
In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem. From time to time we've been tempted to believe that society has become too complex to be managed by self-rule, that government by an elite group is superior to government for, by, and of the people. Well, if no one among us is capable of governing himself, then who among us has the capacity to govern someone else? All of us together, in and out of government, must bear the burden. The solutions we seek must be equitable, with no one group singled out to pay a higher price.
A real American patriot, a real president.
Reagan's 1980 GOP convention speech was also stellar. In the wake of the forthcoming "mandatory volunteerism" and further massive government bailouts we're facing, I find myself thinking back to his promise and warning to us that night:
"As your nominee, I pledge to restore to the federal government the capacity to do the people's work without dominating their lives. I pledge to you a government that will not only work well, but wisely; its ability to act tempered by prudence and its willingness to do good balanced by the knowledge that government is never more dangerous than when our desire to have it help us blinds us to its great power to harm us."
A great Reagan/Khachigian speech. Far superior to today’s.
I was thinking the same thing earlier today. Now, the real question is...where have all these men gone?
