Bush Mocked As He Arrives on Inauguration Dais @ 11:52 am by Hill Staff
The crowd packed on the west side of the Capitol grounds serenaded President Bush in mocking fashion when he took to the inaugural stage alongside Vice President Dick Cheney.
"Nah nah nah nah, hey hey, good-bye," a section of the crowd chanted.
The crowd packed immediately below the podium received Bush in stony silence when he took his seat on the stage surrounding the podium where Barack Obama was scheduled to take the oath office to become the 44th president of the United States.
The jeers are among the final public feedback Bush will receive as president.
First Lady Laura Bush and Lynne Cheney received light applause when they were announced to the crowd.
Bush is scheduled to depart from the East Front of the Capitol by helicopter after the swearing-in ceremony.
Obama received the loudest sustained cheers from thousands who chanted his name.
Before Obama took the stage the crowd gave its warmest welcome to former President Bill Clinton and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.)
Vice-president elect Joe Biden also Michelle Obama also received warm welcomes.
House Democratic lawmakers formed a raucous audience from the section of seats rising immediately south of the speaker's podium.
They launched into a "Rahmbo" chant when they spotted White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel.
They see life as a high school football game, the clueless morons. It should be illegal for them to reproduce.
Democrats have zero class and like to show that often.
I doubt they will ever do better.
These two forces, combined with the propaganda of the MSM, necessitate an effort on the part of the citizen to learn what has really happened, what is really happening, and what will likely really happen based upon critical analysis of history and current events. This means that it is hard work and that each citizen who wants to understand what is really happening has to go through multiple rounds of discomfort as each time they learn something new or discover a new perspective, requires them to shake up the ‘knowledge’ they are already comfortable with and, perhaps, dethrone that knowledge and replace it with something closer to the truth.
I can't stand these masses of the young and of youth-worship today. The people you saw on the metro are the same lazy, stupid, brainwashed ‘youth’ that littered the streets of Seattle for 10 years when I was there. You try to engage them in conversation and it is like trying to talk to a sheep.
I prefer the company of conservative youth who are hungry for reasoned knowledge and, more and more these days, just about anyone over 70.
This was expected and is exactly the reason I intend to treat “their” president likewise.
What else could be expected of low-class, trash?
> Good and hard is on the way.
Well said. The Left’s first bare-arsed caning is about to commence. Four of the best...
Low class, low rent.
I’ll be walking around with tears in my eyes all day when I think of the memory of seeing my President Bush and his family boarding the helicopter to leave.
Indeed. . .you are correct on all counts.
There is nothing evil loves more than celebrating itself.
a country full of idiots. Next time you go into a store ask the clerk if they can make change without looking at the register, you get the deer in the headlights stare. This is my point, exactly. I beleive as a society, each generation from the 1940s has become more like trained robots without being able to think for themselves. Society has become more arrogant and less respectfull because our todays society has fallen away from courtesy and morals. The 1960s had a saying “if it feels good do it”. Look at the 1970s with disco and how the night clubs let anything go on. This is the type of societal evolution that brought down the Roman empire. Unfortunatley, we don’t teach true history at colleges anymore just lies.
Yeah, this and an indictment from Holder is coming shortly. That along with a subpoena from Conyers. they can't help themselves and won't stop until he is in prison.
What else should one expect from crass trash?
That’s how I feel. This whole election cycle has gone beyond just “I don’t like that guy” to total fear for the nation. I have never feared for the end of America. Maybe some pains, maybe worried about taxes being too high, but never that the end could be in sight.
I do fear that today. Amongst the chanting, the singing and hand clapping.
Historical in one sense...the worst inauguration poem ever (and that is saying something!). Most grade schoolers could do better.
Exactly. Also the clearly mentally ill with BDS.
Classy bunch. Not.
