About the banana tree/bush:
It should have bloomed. Maybe, and I am saying this without knowing, maybe it did not have the right soil.
And I am guessing that there was no internet to read up on how to grow a productive banana bush/tree.

got laid off, had to use 1/2 of my 401k for myself and my 4 kids this year.
our banana tree got lots of shade and we watered it a lot.
probably the only reason that it lived.
maybe it needed another banana tree?
no internet then. i remember how excited i was in grade school when my dad got a calculator. bought it from Texas Instruments. costs 250 bucks. the same calculator costs today around 10 bucks.
