You've hit the nail on the head. THIS inauguration (speech) was more entertainment than substance. I felt uncomfortable, embarrassed, pained, and on occasion winced, hung my head low, etc...

In other words, it seemed and felt coined, canned, manufactured, uninspired.

This Rev. Lowery character is definitely without gravitas. Clown comes to mind. On the other hand, his poetry was far more entertaining than the previous (alleged) bona fide poet's was.

Rev. Lowery reminds me of the scene in Doc Hollywood where the old Dr. gets drunk and starts rambling some crap no one can understand.
