This ammendment isn’t for Obama. It’s for Bill Clinton.

Not much chance that will pass.

Two-thirds of the states must ratify.

Ain’t gonna happen.

The bill is absurd.
Its never going to happen that 3/4s of the states will ratify anything like that.

Therefore, I surmise that the author has a somewhat different agenda in mind.

A bill to repeal the 22nd Amendment has been introduced in every Congress for the last 10 or 20 years. I doubt it will go anywhere this time either.

Great, a Liberal Democrat calling for a Hugo Chavez-like government.

My bet is that before 4 years are up you could pass an amendment allowing for the removal of the president by popular vote.

We shall see...

Never happen, now if we could get term limits for Senate and House we would be doing something. Wind Bags just stick around and do nothing.

Oh really?? The arrogance of these Jackasses. But let them make asses of themselves. Do they really know the future? Repeal the 22nd amendment indeed. Careful, Jackasses, careful what you wish for. The honeymoon won’t last forever.

I think that Congress would make the people happy by leaving the 22 Amendment alone and creating a new Amendment to limit the House and Senate to two terms.

A very good chance that this will be passed within 4 years, 85% probability, IMHO only...

The passage of the 22nd amendment after Roosevelt decided he was a better president than George Washington was one of the greatest positive amendments ever passed.

We need a similar restriction on Congressional terms. I prefer a max of six House terms and/or two Senate terms. If a legislator is REALLY EXCELLENT, that allows him or her a twenty-four year long "career" at the Federal level. And none of this "consecutive terms" bullshit---an absolute maximum of 12 years in either legislative body.

Why bother?
Can’t he just serve two terms as Barack Obama and then two more as Barry Soetoro?
I’m sure our Supreme Court would go along with that. No one has “standing” to object.

The 22nd Amendment was not complete. Term limits for Congress were not included. :(

Since Presidents don’t seem to have any real say in running the country any more, why not just go ahead and make Obama President-For-Life? It will save a fortune because they won’t have to stage these expensive phony elections, and the taxpayers can keep the same White House china indefinitely. ;)

"Representative Jose Serrano (D) has introduced a bill in the House to abolish the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution,..."

Mental retardation is a sad thing--especially in a Congressman.
