How about Crawford? Dallas? San Diego (my son stationed there:')

Actually WACO (about 60 miles south of Dallas) would make an EXCELLENT message.

I see a vision of thousands of Freepers flying "NEVER AGAIN" flags, meeting and greeting and shooting next to the biggest American massacre site in the last 30 years.

If you think you're going to get through this unscathed, better think again. This is a time for "Give me liberty or give me death" and mean it.

Then I vote Culpeper, VA....not too far from Dulles, or Richmond DON'T TREAD ON ME!!!

Ditto that!

St. Louis is centrally located, and costs in Missouri are below the national average.

As the song says, let's "Meet me in St. Louis!"

This is only a suggestion.

Why do we need to physically meet? We have the net we have all kinds of ways to communicate. It is just so much more convenient then flying over to see a much smaller group for a few minutes.

In games what we do is communicate through pop up messages using something like ICQ or Miranda which gives you multi different types of instant message capabilities. Then there is voice communication such as ventrilo or teamspeak for closer friends.
Then there is Skype that gives both IM and limited voice communication for free.

If you need to look at faces you can use different types of cameras either streaming or just a pic.

We've got some Mavericks right here in Dallas! Welcome to ya'll!

Having grown up in Joisey I often note at Toastmasters when I'm the Word Master, that a yawl is a gaff rigged schooner!

Of course when they give me that dumbfounded stare I always add..

Do you ketch my drift?

Good idea, Jim. It might be hard for me to get there wherever it is. D.C. is the safest bet for me. I might be able to swing that. Dallas is a long long way from home for me to drive (I don't fly).

I agree with the poster who said we need to organize on local levels and take back our country from the bottom up. The economy might not work from the bottom up, but politics does. We also need to infiltrate the enemy camps. It's the best way to know the enemy. We are many, and we could do that.

It doesn't have to be right downtown either. West County is very nice and has plenty of hotels with conference accomodations. I can think of plenty right off the top of my head.

I could volunteer my time to be a point of contact to get help get it set up here as well.

I was in Waco this weekend. I hear people talking about them but practically every home and business have flags up. If it wasn’t so far I would buy a get away place out in the country.

Phoenix, May 15-17, if her schedule permits...

Maybe Governor Palin could announce and endorse McCain's opponent in the next Senate primary. :-)

I think it's commitment.

If you care enough to physically go to a place, and take the time & effort ....it shows a genuine interest in being involved.

Plus there are things a person can do face to face rather than cyberspace.

Vegas would be great! And I have never been to Bryce Canyon.

Count me in. (If it’s this summer.)

I would go for any place in VA. I’m also thinking that perhaps a smaller town would offer a better meeting place. Depends I guess. Do we want to keep under the radar or do we want to make a statement?

Great! We’ll all meet at your place afterwards for barbecue!

Then it's a plan! Just name the dates.

I don’t think we should have it in Chicago.

Mayor Daley will pick your pockets clean.

Just one example, sales tax in Chicago is over 10%.

And don’t even get me started on parking fees.
