There would be a precipitous downside to such a tactic -- the bad guys don't want to credit the CIA with success. Blaming it on them could serve to promote the myth that the CIA might actually be effective at covert ops.

I’m glad to say that I have absolutely no idea whether I’m naturally resistant to HIV/AIDS since I have never engaged in activity that would put me at risk..... except that during chemotherapy and surgeries for cancer I have had around 12 units of blood transfusions into me at different times, so I suppose there is a remote possibility that my immune system was tested that way....... so far no problem.

Yes, it is easily treatable, IF you are not living in caves, with rats, on the lam, away from civilization. But you have to come out of the /closet/ to get treatment.
