WASHINGTON – Two days from the White House, President-elect Barack Obama joined a vast throng Sunday at a roaring, rollicking pre-inauguration celebration staged before marble monuments to past heroes. "Anything is possible in America," declared the man who will confront economic crisis and two wars when he takes office.
"Despite the enormity of the task that lies ahead — I stand here today as hopeful as ever that the United States of America will endure — that the dream of our founders will live on in our time," the president-elect said at the conclusion of a musical extravaganza that featured U2, Beyonce, Bruce Springsteen and other stars.

So it is still possible, that Obama, Biden, Pelosi, and Reid will keel over so we can have some decent leadership in this country without Socialism taking over everything we have worked hard for all these years?

The economy may one day become that way, and for all I know, that day may be soon, but so far, it's still not as bad as it was in the late 70s and early 80s. Look at the numbers and you'll know I'm right.
I don't wish to give the impression that I'm trying to paint a picture which depicts everything as rosy. What I'm endeavouring to do is to keep some realism in the discussion. Overexaggeration of problems helps less than an honest discussion of them. I have grown weary of hyperbole.
