Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave star Tom Morello has been declared a soldier for peace by a group of Iraq War veterans. The rocker has been presented with one soldier's medals for fighting for an end to war back home in America.

I head a DJ mention this today and she played a clip of Morello's mother using the F-word followed by "...the Bush administration." Classy people.

I’m sure if Saddam were still around he’d give Morello a medal too. Or maybe a human head.

I fear I don’t have much use for any member of a band who A) demands freedom for convicted cop-killer Mumia Abu Jamal and B) praises the Shining Path.

I’m sure they have said/done other things that would annoy me, but those two were enough to ensure I never bought a single cd or item of their merchandise.
