OBAMA HONEYMOON OVER:
CONSERVATIVE GROUP UNVEILS
TV AD AGAINST OBAMA AT INAUGURATION

(SACRAMENTO) – A conservative political action committee is rejecting calls for conservatives and Republicans to “go along” and “get along” with President Elect Barack Obama.

The Our Country Deserves Better Committee (www.OurCountryPAC.org) has instead unveiled a new television ad campaign that criticizes Obama’s push for massive big government spending and a series of corruption scandals among top members of his team as “not the change we were promised.”

The television ad campaign will begin its broadcast run next week – the week Obama is inaugurated as the next President of the United States.

“It’s ideological suicide for conservatives to sit back silent while Obama pushes for untold hundreds of billions in new spending and bailouts. If conservatives and Republicans can’t find within them the ideological conviction to oppose this fleecing of the taxpayers, then what is it that we stand for?” asked Sal Russo, Chief Strategist for the Our Country Deserves Better Committee.

The ad has been viewed thousands of times and awarded several YouTube Honors in the first 12 hours since it has been posted online: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NKrTBwcgLjY

Russo, who got his start in politics as an aide to Governor Ronald Reagan, rejected the calls made by some Republicans to hold off in speaking out against Obama’s policies.

“Some people have said we shouldn’t speak up now for our beliefs, but instead hold off for now. To these individuals I ask when do they propose we begin to stand up for our principles? Will waiting a month or year to fight for our beliefs somehow advance the cause of conservatism? Will it help America for us to sit back and let Obama push his agenda forward unopposed?

“It seems to me that being silent and acquiescent now further empowers Obama, and further entrenches this notion that big government liberalism is somehow acceptable. It’s the antithesis of our individual liberty and freedom, and it requires men and women of good conscience to step forward, take action and oppose it vigorously,” said Russo.

Obama is either a radical man or a straw man for the third term of Clinton based on what I’ve seen.

The old faces with new scandals seem to be taking charge.

In retrospect would you have recommended that the Jews try to get along with Hitler and allow him to implement his full agenda.

Exactly! I will pray for our country, but I WILL NOT pray for 0bama to succeed in his ungodly agenda. That would be like praying for someone going out to rob a bank or cheat on his wife to succeed. I will, however, pray for him as a lost soul needing to learn the Truth of Jesus Christ, and not the hate spewed from Jeremiah Wright.

I offered my analysis of Obama and have no problem with him being opposed from here to eternity.

He is a straw man in my opinion and a very shallow image. What is really behind him could be anything from political corruption Chicago-style to the Karl Marx style of socialism.

Heck, maybe its a combination of both.

You are so right! I think there will be a new party develop made of conservatives. We have put up with the weak, spineless nabobs like Trent Lott and Bill First and Lindsy Graham and McC long enough. I know some are gone but it is high time we get quality people to represent us.
WE have to get rid of the weaklings and vote them out. The conservativs need to be as strong and wiley as the democrats have been and when they win act like the winners.
When they won in 1994 and then let it all go bust I was so angry and when Bush won the first term..and these foolish Republicans in order to be bipartisan had co chairmenships..what kind of foolishness was that!
Yes it is time, past time for changes..and this bunch better not play dead...I told my husband not one more red cent to the GOP and I am going to make sure that doesn’t happen..and if and when they call and they always do I am going to give them an earfull and tell them I am c hanging my registration to Consercative party.

I say we give Obama the same respect that Democrats gave Bush at the start of his two terms.
I can already see that we can’t depend on most members of Congress who are apparently too cowed by the media adulation of Zero this week to even perform even the most superficial opposition when it comes to his nominees.
I’ve really been sickened by Senate Republicans, especially at the Holder hearings. Expect no moral courage from Republicans in Congress, the debate about Zero’s policies will have to come from outside Congress.
