No, we shouldn't give up on our country because MORE THAN HALF of the voters in this country are idiots.

You have to be willing to fight for what you love and believe in.

I agree. However, fighting on the front lines while these @ssholes cut off your support is akin to suicide. So, when my enlistment contract ends, I will depart from my Corps having served nearly 14 years and 4 combat tours to Iraq. My first and foremost oath is to the Constitution of the United States, I will not be supportive of the destruction of our Constitution; even if that means I have to leave the service to uphold that oath.

But, before you say that I've given up; realize I've been voted out. The potential abolishment of "don't ask don't tell," the possibility of being used to supress domestic disturbances (the Founders' greatest fear), the cut and run from Iraq agenda, being derided and trashed for volunteering for "Bush's War".... you tell me where its worth it? How many on this site take up the cause of Liberty?

Oh sure, many on FR can throw terms like revolution or Civil War2 around, and the fight continues etc etc etc. Its easy to be a keyboard combatant. And its funny because many of these same people want it start with the military....are you kidding me? After the show of support the military has received from GWOT? Even half of the "conservatives" I know don't support the war (in Iraq); and they are going to support this? The military should again risk life (and mutiny charges) for what? The people spoke, they spoke with a vote. Good for them.... their change is coming. My family and friends will be safe and will live free. However, I will not be a member of the Socialists' military.

Our elected officals are cowards and backstabbers. Even our so-called conservative officials voted for the bailouts against the wishes of their constituents. How many homeowners in the military are looking at the possibility of moving due to military orders and have a house/mortgage they are certain to get screwed with because the market crashed (FYI I am not in this situation). Of course, they still have to move and don't get a bailout. But we should feel sorry for some Welfare Queen, or ILLEGAL Immigrant? The time has come where the sick, lame, lazy, immoral, and ignorant outnumber and outvote the productive members of society.

and have the patience, determination and motivation to undo all that Obama and the Democrats have done to this nation...

We haven't even undone the crap FDR did to this country and its been 60 years. The 111th Congress is newly sworn in; So far legislation has been proposed to --

-Repeal 22nd Amendment in order to allow Presidents to hold more than two terms

-HR 45 = Gun Control

-And Rangel wants to reinstate the draft

Its a lot worse than pushing a rock up a hill. Public School systems are instructing teachers to wear red, white, and blue tomorrow. They are warning students against saying deragatory stuff about Obama, because it makes other students feel unwelcomed. The Titanic, I mean MSM, is going into epileptic convulsions they are so excited about the inaugaration. The libs have poisoned nearly every aspect of popular culture. Our Church (Baptist) is strictly Anti-Abortion.....yet you should see all of the Obama/Biden bumper stickers.... Obama the most avid abortionist Presdient in history, is who they wanted for President.

Now, I am not saying its all doom and gloom, or that the sky is falling, but as I said, constructive conservatives will weather the storm; the "other 52%" is going to get exactly what they deserve. Why do they deserve better? They choose to be ill informed. They chose to vote for a socialist. They voted for a cut-n-run coward. They are going to get what they voted for... they are NOT entitled and they DON'T deserve anything better than the rude awakening they have coming.
