Chávez reopens oil bids to West as prices plunge

Obama Picks Hint at Gas Price Hikes

"In fairness, Salazar strongly opposed offshore drilling but never said he actually wanted the price of gas to skyrocket. The same cannot be said of secretary of energy nominee Steven Chu.

Last September, he told The Wall Street Journal that "somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe."

European gas taxes are much higher than in the United States and are designed to force people to drive less or not at all. At the time of Chu’s comment, the "levels in Europe" were above $8 a gallon."

Yeah baby. Eight dollars a gallon will sure as hell stimulate the economy won't it? Like a hand grenade in pumpkin!

Do you think a requirement of the Barry admin is that you have to be brain damaged.

I remember when Carter was president, it was said of him that he had very low intelligence people on his staff because he was intimidated by “smarts” and wanted no one on his staff who was smarter than he viewed himself.

I am beginning to think the same of Barry.

Oil at 35.50/bbl.

Natural gas at 4.80/mcf.

It pains me to imagine what That One will do when he is smoking in the White House.
