They also know that when she is confirmed, a Republican Lt Gov. takes her job as Governor.

Oh lovely, just what we need......an open-borders supporting, anti-fence, pro-amnesty person as Secretary of Homeland Security! (sarc)

Then, of course, we have the RINOs, in full support.

Arizona doesn’t have a lt. gov. The next governor will be Secretary of State Jan Brewer, a Republican. Brewer will run for governor, in 2010, and she’ll easily win. Four of the last five AZ governors were Republicans. Arizona has had only republican U.S. senators since 1995.

My parents live in Prescott, AZ. My mom said that Napolitano shouldn’t be the secretary of homeland security, since she’s done a terrible job of preventing illegal aliens from coming into the state.

Oh, goody. Someone with HOW much experience in the field for Secretary of Homeland Security? Did I miss the list?

And Paneta heading the CIA - with zip experience (and he’ll get zip cooperation from those under him)

Yep, I feel so secure.

Your mom is 100% right.

Gag me with a poon. She has left Arizona in a shambles and in debt up to her sizable ass.

Obama choose a few people who are unqualified. The secretary of state and the secretary of treasury should be people who has held a cabinet position and have also held an elective office. Obama should have chosen William Cohen, Bruce Babbit, Dan Glickman, Norm Mineta, or Richard Riley.

mccain is right on one sense, the job is to “let illegals come and go as they please and to also invite anyone in without penalty”, so she is right for that job description.

I thought that many Arizona Republicans would dislike Babbit, but he would be a slightly better secretary of state or treasury, compared to the people Obama nominated.

William Cohen

Known him for lot of years - a pipsqueak Socialist in RINO clothing - a Trilateralist...but, of course, he would be just another Clinton retread. (Clinton's SOD - with no military experience)

a little weasel

Cohen is slightly less liberal than my congressman, Mark Kirk (of IL) a Republican, who is pro-choice, pro-gun control, pro-gay marriage, pro-illegal alien, pro-spending increases, and anti-Iraq surge. I emailed him, four times, within the past two years, and I asked him why he’s a Republican. I didn’t receive a response, so I emailed four of his aides and asked them why he’s a Republican. I didn’t receive a response.
