Ultimately we have an undesireable action.

We can do something to discourage such activity from minors (and leave adults to their own devices, literally).

The technology exists (even if the kids don’t have a cellphone with a camera, there are digital cameras and even hidden cameras used by fellow classmates). The genie is out of the bottle (the technology cannot be eliminated).

What will each course of action do to the number of such images on the internetz? Nothing ever dies in cyberspace. So efforts should be made to limit the number of such images produced.

Also the media culture should do more to discourage such activity. Laura Ingraham calls it the pornification of the culture. Quite a few celebrities private “clips/snaps” have been leaked to the media now. Even Disney actresses “do it”. Ultimately, when such images leak, it is seen as a popularity booster.

So something can be done to violators or the whole mess can be decriminalized (because there are those on this thread making the case that it is a victimless crime) since they argue that it is pointless to prosecute. That's right - have to stop those "undesirable actions"! Taking nude pictures of yourself and (HEAVENS!) distributing them, owning guns, and so on.

Give me a break. Let their parents handle it. I suppose you'd outlaw nude beaches, too, since you'd probably find them undesirable.

The law does not exist to curb undesirable actions. It exists to curb actions which interfere with the rights of the citizenry. Nothing more. What you are advocating is authoritarianism and has no place in a conservative mindset.

No one's rights are being violated here. You cannot, by definition, violate your own rights. Yeh, the girls are probably brain dead (or just horny), but what of it?
