Perhaps in your world, that is what comes to mind. In mine, being critical does not automatically equate to that.

U.S. Senator John Cornyn
I don't think there's been 2 parties since the 1800s. Now just a bunch of arrogant Pols and their handlers.
Bush is the reason they were prosecuted in the first place. It was politically motivated.
Okay, THAT’s scary...so I guess you’re telling me I may not hear directly from the Senator right away?

Compean had Davila in a ditch. When Davila came out of the ditch Compean tried to take his head off with a horizontal butt stroke. He missed and went down. Davila took off for Mexico. Compean was embarrassed and mad and shot at his back 14 times if I recall correctly. Ramos came up, saw his partner firing and shot Davila in the butt. Righteous shoot or dirty cop? In my opinion Compean should have been convicted and Ramos acquitted. I think the punishment Compean received was excessive. If I were king for a day I would pardon Ramos and commute Compeans sentence. Not that it matters but I have been in that ditch (retrieving a duck) and I have been up and down those levees from Ft Hancock to Fabens.
Yes they do have hope, of at least having their sentences commuted for time served so they can go back to their families. Even Sutton said their sentences were too harsh.
Now is the time for prayer.
I think the Mexican drug people have bought him (or threatened him) many, many years ago.
Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison is faster to reply. But then she’s running for Guv.
“Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison is faster to reply. But then shes running for Guv.”
Which sorta gives me the willies, frankly. I have a lot of respect for Cornyn, but I’d sure like to see what his stance on R&C is.

‘Righteous shoot or dirty cop’
Bad shoot, dumb cops.

Thanks.
That is not Jose Compean to the left of Ramos in post # 3.
I’m afraid you’re right that Bush has no intention of granting pardons to the two men. It’s interesting that everyone takes it for granted that Obama won’t pardon them either, even though he has no ties to Sutton.
