After a nearly two year sabbatical, the series 24 has returned -- much to the delight of the political class in America which seems to have made the long-running drama a litmus test of where one stands on issues relating to war, to executive power, and to the role of the United States in a dangerous and unpredictable world.
Indeed, while conservatives have claimed the show as their own since the series debuted shortly after the 9/11 attacks and embraced Jack Bauer as an authentic American hero, liberals have also admitted to watching the show and deriving satisfaction from the action-packed portrayal of America at war with terrorism. For the left, however, the criticism about methods employed by Bauer to glean information from terrorists as well as questions about the exercise of executive power by the president have usually accompanied their professions of devotion to the series.

Monday night was terrific. Jack is definitely back!
I don’t know if I’m going to keep watching. Too much good guy bad guy murkiness. I mean Jack is on a team that is storming the embassy of a good guy and they are shooting his bodyguards?? I do love how the portrayed the arrogant Senator inquisition and then the neutered FBI terror group - this is real life under Obama.
They probably shot those guards non-lethally, you gotta give Jack the benefit of the doubt. Look, there’s no more CTU, just Tony by his side, Chloe helping out, and Bill Buchanan supervising Chloe.
All the experts? Ask ksm and ramsi bin-alshib about that. Not that I believe that they were tortured but hopefully they were handled in the appropriate manner for someone who had just slaughtered 3000 Americans. ksm withstood a couple of minutes of waterboarding, bin-al-shib supposedly broke down and cried like a little girl when he saw ksm in custody and gave it all up after the comfy chair and a belly slap.
The author also seems to think that since the msm falsely pinned the blame on Pres. Bush for the Katrina response that conservatives believe it. He also apparently thinks that since the dems and their puppets in the media have lied continuously to the gullible sheep about the Iraq war, it's causes and it's progress that and that since a majority of the uninformed may believe that it was a mistake then it must be so.
I’m watching, but unfortunately have to watch that fugly female(?) Goreafool. Does she look as though she hasn’t washed her hair for a month? Would hate to get too close! YUK!
