You said — “Oh, good grief. YOU want to see something that the law prevents you from seeing and you are simply asking the head of a state to break the law and make it available, regardless of what happens to her life and livelihood as a result of indulging your curiosity?”

And some posters wonder why I’m laughing at some of these ideas and their “antics”... it does show a complete *disconnect* from the reality of life, that’s for sure...

I prefer some “real life” methodologies — like the state of Oklahoma is doing, in getting a law through the legislature, requiring specific documentation proving the requirements of the Constitution have been met, regarding the office of President of the United States.

I’m supporting that piece of legislation here. Now, that’s a lot more productive and it *will* get something done (in real life, doncha know...)...

"... like the state of Oklahoma is doing, in getting a law through the legislature, requiring specific documentation proving the requirements of the Constitution have been met, ..."

That is the direction that I'd like to see much of this energy go ... something that will repair an obvious hole in the system.

There was another hot button topic here on FR that I won't mention specifically, but there are endless threads with thousands of responses each. The regular posters on that topic love to scream, demand, and pound their keyboards as they call certain folks murderers and depict a conspiracy which reminds me particularly of these eligibility threads.

On these threads I have asked many times what each of the posters has actually done to change the laws ... to make a difference the next time around. I never get an answer, so I will assume that they have done nothing. Yet they continue to gripe and accuse, on that case and others like it.

When there has been injustice, you can put your energies not only into an attempt to cure that particular injustice, but trying to do what you can to prevent a similar injustice in the future. That changes things ... that does some good. Endlessly perpetuating unfounded claims and making ridiculous demands and continuing conspiracy theories makes for long and argumentative threads, but little else.

I hope that Oklahomans will be successful in their endeavors with regard to this matter. I applaude the effort. I should really do some research on what is being done in Louisiana to accomplish the same result.

***You work your side of the street, troll, and we’ll work ours. Anything you’ve been working on have the potential to knock out Obama within the next week? no. Then get out of the way of those are working on something that exigent.
