Communist USA Today completely glosses over this guy's criminal tax problem as well as his hiring an illegal problem. You and I would be in jail. They also describe Hitlery CRinton's hearing as "welcome" relief to Bush's policies which got us into an "illegal" war.
Richardson: Crook
Geithner: Crook
Hitlery: Crook
Obama: Crack Addict / Drug Pusher
Biden: Plagiarist
Dodd: Mortgage Crook
Frank: Criminal Homosexual Prostitution
Rangel: Real Estate Crimes
Need I continue?

I got a letter from the IRS on Monday. They overpaid me by $55.62 and I have to declare it as income in April.

MSM ripped into Joe the Plumber for not paying taxes. They didn’t think Joe was a legitimate question asker for far less owed. I wonder if they will think the same for this guy? /s

Actually Hemsley paid several million in taxes and was disputing 10% of her tax bill with the IRS. It never should have been prosecuted.

Why should a guy who is too stupid to understand his own tax forms,Oh, come now ! Nobody can understand those darn forms ! You can't blame him for that !
/end extreme sarcasm.

I totally agree with you. But ya know....the elite are exempt from laws and rules. They are actually rewarded for wrongdoing. Look at Bawney, Rangel, Reid, Dodd.
He will get the job. unfortunate

The fact that a Treasury Secretary is a tax cheat will make no difference. He'll get confirmed, with at most a mild suggestion that he not do it again.
Like Hillary; they mildly suggested (nonbinding) that no foreign entity donate money to the Bill Clinton Presidential Library fund, and she said, to the Fund? OK!
The Senate is acting like they are afraid of The 0ne- they don't want to bother him at all.

"too stupid" At the least (if it wasn't intentional).
Going into business for myself the self-employment tax calculation was one of the "can I do this and eat" items and I'm no tax wizard.
I'm stunned that anyone who worked as an independent contractor would overlook something as trivial as this so I have to chalk it up to intentional.
Or maybe someone who has spent his life working for blood sucking taxpayer funded schemes rather than having a real job doesn't think about such things.
We are "governed" by backbenchers.

You don't sound as if you are acting in a spirit of bipartisanship! There is a new “tone “ in Washington! Why can't you overlook a few “hiccups”? /sarc

"After the underpayments were detected, Geithner paid back taxes and interest totaling $43,200." That's ok - he'll lead by example.

I got a letter from the IRS on Monday. They overpaid me by $55.62 and I have to declare it as income in April.I forgot to put my payroll tax payment in the mail until the day after it was due. My penalty for being one day late was welll over $ 100.00. The interest they charge for being way late (over one month ) compounds at 18%.

Sen. Hatch stated he has "no problem" with Geithner, in spite of the incredible revelations.
The House of Lords not only cover for each other in a bipartisan way, but Their Lordships now go out of their ways to cover for appointment nominees not even yet approved for their posts.
I continue to live in the Twilight Zone with no exit.
Help!

To: spintreebob
No problem here!! After all he’s endorsed by Hussein Obama and the rest of the RATS. The Congressional Tax committeee is headed by Charley Rangel and he doesn’t pay taxes either. After all the bureaucrats with their endorsement of MSM are above the rest of us slobs who pay diligently every year.
