It is futile to attempt a boycott by cutting back on nonessential spending when many of us are already doing so because of the economy. It is like trying to make a statement by driving with your lights on at night.

It is futile to attempt a boycott by cutting back on nonessential spending when many of us are already doing so because of the economy.

Many are in tough shape because of the economy, but I would guess that conservatives are likely in better financial shape than liberals (except those with guaranteed government jobs), so more of us are able to consider nonessenstial purchases. I've had extensive discussions with my lady about this, she's a bit of a compulsive shopper, and I've tried to make the point that we need Barry to fail at bringing the economy back. She's starting to see the light.

I'm sure glad that my "born on" date was as long ago as it was, or I'd get a lot of the crap that new posters get no matter what they say.
