My Brother used to take his 22 rifle to shoot with the Gun Club in the late 50’s at his High School. They had a range in the basement.

And that was when we lived in Long Island, NY.

I grew up on Long Island and used to do the exact same thing, except it was in the late 70's at Garden City Junior High. Our range was in the basement too.
