Ill give him a C+ as a president. Way too liberal for me when it came to spending, education, amnesty, etc but he did a solid job on terrorism (though some blunders were made). The whole bailout/Paulson mess has lowered him a notch. God forgive me for being ungrateful but I personally don't think I got what was advertised with President Bush and this administration. That is not to say that President Bush would be any better appreciated by the press or the people if he had been a principled conservative. I don't think I can listen to the speech because it would remind me of my ingratitude, dissatisfaction, frailty of discernment and the hopelessness of our craven political system.

I hope there is one more address after this:
"30 Minutes ago elements of the US Armed Forces and the Isreali IDF attacked suspected nuclear weapons sites in Iran"

I like President Bush and always have. He’s a good guy and has a good heart. He stuck by his principles, despite the onslaught of attacks and lies that regurgitated from the left and was a good CiC and well-liked by the troops. His leadership put the hammer to further Islamofacist terrorist attacks in the US. I believe we’ll all miss him more than we realize, especially after zero assumes his throne! :-)

No question we were sold a bill of goods. It wasn’t just him. The party as a whole ran as fiscal conservatives but did a damned fine job of spending like democrats during the six years we ran things. On the WOT he is an A-/B+ and on other things he is a D+/C- hence my final grade of C+ though I think the Clinton expierence has allowed some grade inflation to creep into my final mark.

Hey George, glad you didn’t sacrifice your “free market principles” by bailing on the bailout so that the press/liberals would like you in your last days and so you could salvage your legacy amongst those that hate you.
ooops...you did do that.
To: STARWISE; All
Ooops .. forgot to mention .....
NOT seeking opinions of Pres. Bush, who last I looked, has been responsible .. along with our unparalleled military .. for preventing terrorist attacks (beheadings, etc.) on ANY US citizen in ANY state, county, city or town in the whole United States of America.
Thank you.
Stuff it buckwheat. This isn't some damn religion thread where no criticism is permitted. You post an article on President RINO giving his farewell address, you're going to get opinions, and that includes mine, which is: I want Bush to do what I wish McCain would do, which is to just go on home, and STFU. I've had enough of his so-called 'compassionate conservatism' to last me a lifetime.
No More Bushes
No More Clintons
No More Kennedys
And have a nice evening.

Hey DCP!
I’m doing great! I may be watching the 0bamunists and their politburo taking over what’s left of our Republic, but I’m doing ok, God is still in control, and there are no white flags in my household, lol
How are you doing these days? I can’t imagine the madhouse that the Washington-Metro area is going to be between now and the 20th ... !
