Have gotten invite from hubby’s company’s law firm to go to party for In-awful-gural but won’t attend. Too damn cold, too damn crowded and too damn depressing (Big girl pants on, notwithstanding...)Lots of parties planned around our neck-of-the-woods - I will be watching DVDs and using calculator to figure out how my family will be able to AFFORD the new administration!!!

Wait a minute! Identity of posters is supposedly protected. How did the FBI know where to go for the Cowardly Lion?

There is no true anonymity on the internet. If you’re on it, someone can ultimately track you down. You’d be surprised.

It would probably actually be easy to find out the identity of posters who think they are extra careful. For example, if an FBI agent really wanted to know the identity of Joe1 (made up) and Joe gives no information that helps him and this site is very careful about protecting identity, an FBI agent could simply create an account (or use an existing one) and post a reply to a thread to Joe1 with a link to an ‘article’. That article has a tracking cookie that ends up on Joe1’s computer. In a few days, after Joe1 buys some books off Amazon, checks his phone bill, and orders a Pizza, the FBI would know more about Joe than Joe knows about himself.

Many of us have lived through the LBJ years, the 4 years of Jimmuh Carter, and the eight years of Bubba Clinton. This too shall pass, and the country will survive even Obama. So, plan a fun day of family activities for inauguration day, and don't get depressed

Ditto, worth repeating.

Personally, it’s going to be a sad day.
It’s an historic day, but due to all the circumstances around it - including that he is not qualified and is so far to the Left - I will not watch.

I heard VA is essentially blocked from accessing DC. I also heard that we can no longer mentions the word Hussein or even the letter H???

The police state security is very creepy. Is the Manchurian Canidate a bit paranoid?

Glen Beck was playing the old USSR national athem today with his All Hail Obama words again. The song is hilarious with the “Hope for The Change” nonsensical words at the very end of the song.

Obama, even moreso than Clinton, represents the political victory of the communist agitators in the streets who OPPOSED LBJ because he was not liberal enough.

The people who rioted inside and outside of the DNC convention in 1968 (and those like Bill Ayers, who rioted a year AFTER the 1968 convention) are now the core BASE of the Democrat Party.

This is not like anything we have seen before. These are people who've loathed America for 40+ years.

They do not have the American Way or the Constitution at heart. When Obama says that we cannot live high on the hog anymore because others in the world don't have it so well off, I have to disagree. Disagreement means debate and counter argument. It doesn't mean anything violent.

As Ann Coulter pointed out to Harry Smith, it isn't the "Right" that gets violent much. It is very much the exception to the rule. Being on side of law and order and all that. Our president have been killed by democrats, communists, liberals, actors, and Reagan was targeted by someone who seems to have been clinically insane.

You post through a server and this can be traced.

No. Leni Riefenstahl is dead. Long live Leni Riefenstahl!

I’m sure the MSM will continue her proud tradition. I won’t be watching.

Thanks! I’m sure you’re correct in every respect, but I’m not going to let it scare me though. They’ll have to pry my keyboard from my cold, dead fingers,

The 10-day weather forecast says partly cloudy, 38 degrees, and a 10 percent chance of precipitation for January 20. But forecasts that far out aren’t very reliable.

I’m hoping for ice storms and power outages.

Negative. I do have the day off, but I am planning to go to a movie or movies. I will not watch it, and with any luck, I can avoid seeing Bambi for the next four years.

Weegee, I agree with everything you posted in #30, but there's not a thing we can do about it except hang on. As the Bible says, "having done all, stand." We all voted, we worked hard, but for whatever reason this must be the will of God. He is more than able to take this and turn it to His great glory.

Or if you don't like a Biblical explanation, just forget about it because it's a done deal for the next 4 years.:)
