It looks like, to my untrained eye, that they want to gather more information, and not actually do anything until theyve decided the case. They let Anderson file his amicus brief in support of Berg's case. Then they denied Berg's petition. That's it in a nutshell. Berg is attempting to sidestep the appeals process. The Supreme Court said no.
