I’m betting the Democrats aren’t about to “sacrifice” the idea that only they have the authority to determine what “the greater good” is.

What did those digs in Hawaii cost, something like three bills a night? Hell, one night for Bambi there would pay for my family’s annual trek to Myrtle Beach for two weeks twice over. And he wants me to sacrifice? I will when he starts taking his peeps to Satellite Beach and staying in a 2 BR condo.

What Greater Good?

My Sacrifice Will Be: Zip!, Nada!

I didn't buy a home I couldn't afford, nor was I stupid enough to get an ARM. I refuse to reward ineptness and greedy banks with my tax dollars.

I say a Nationwide Recall Campaign of all the politicians who made this mess would be a good start, let the Sacrificing begin!

It’s time to start ‘spreading the wealth around’.

What did those digs in Hawaii cost

$3,500 a night X 12 days = $42,000

That's $42,000 just for lodging.

And stupid campaign donors paid for it.

Now they are paying for lavish balls to celebrate the One.

When is he scheduling the sacrificing?

I think we've all been sacrificed already.

Wow! You are one of Mark Levin’s biggest fans and yet you can calmly read emails from someone who signs off with “Welcome to the Obama years”.

You are good!

"Guess not. My lib friend wants a “90” percent tax on folks making 150,000 and up. I almost threw up."

The libs forget about the power of those who bear the heavy burden to simply shrug it off. Think of Atlas Shrugged, but on a more limited scale.

Generally, higher income people have more ability to cut back on their earnings in response to confiscatory tax states than low income people. There are lots of exceptions, but a restaurant owner may be able to close on one of his least busy days (resulting in loss of jobs or at least reduction in work hours). (Yes. I know an IHOP on an interstate probably cannot do this). The anesthesialogist can cut back on the number of surgeries he does in a week. Same goes for lots of medical specialists. The plastic surgeon who has been working very hard may decide to do fewer nose jobs and breast implants, and spend more time on the gold course or in the garden or at home with his or spouse spouse and children.

I am not sure whether the sports and entertainment celebrities can benefit much from this approach, because they tend to hit it really big for a few years in which they need to make hay while the sun shines. They make so much that they will get nailed pretty bad anyway, but perhaps they will negotiate their new contracts to pay them less and demand less from them. Perhaps cut the number of games in a baseball season and take less per year.

This reality also tends to explain why there will not be a tax cut for the normal taxpayer. The gov'ts will need to get their revenues from the people who have to keep working full-time to survive and pay their bills.

yep.. we do the sacrificing. he gives the speeches about sacrificing.

when is someone going to get back to “government is not the solution to the problem, government IS the problem” ?

sheesh... American’s have become so weak. All we frickin need is the government to get the heck out of the way.

The "Greater Good" never means sacrifice from them.

Remember that.

And universal health care would just make it easier for those who can make really good hourly money to ratchet down the work load by working part time or working on short term independent contracts. That's ironic, isn't it. That if the left gets its dream of socialized medicine, it could end up freeing some of us from the bondage of needing full-time jobs.

Of course, the whole funding system would collapse as countless folks were finally able to semi-retire and stopped paying so much in taxes.

Tear down the US economy to establish a new world order.

It’s economic terror.
