And all this time you thought it was just the rich people.
Remember he told Joe the Plumber that he wanted to spread the wealth around...and even Hitlery said in one of her asides..From each according to their ability to each according to their needs. That is Karl Marx. We need make no mistake who is at the head of the govt now. It is no wonder President Bush had a worried look yesterday as he left the WH for the commissioning ceremony of the new Aircraft Carrier named for his father.
I’m well aware of all that and more. I was merely making a technical correction. A distinction without a difference, as it were.
so that we are all equal we need to have the same amount of everything.
If you work harder than the next fellow, it's because you can.... not because the next fellow is lazy. So you see, it's the lowest common denominator. It flows from the idea that all wealth is a zero sum game... if I have a million dollars, it's because I stole it from poor people that should have some of the million dollars. It doesn't account for growth in the money supply or creation of new jobs/markets or opportunities.
That's why it's always bound to fail and has ALWAYS failed when tried.
as an example look at the greatest dichotomy available now... Hong Kong and China. One has no natural resources and limited size but is much wealthier than the other .... why?
Same with Mexico and the US. Each was settled and has vast natural resources and ready human capital. One is wealthy and the other is a 3rd world sh#t hole run by drug cartels and criminals.
