I would say stats on homeschoolers would be about the same as normal students who attend public school because there are numerous homeschoolers who have parents that allow them to play the WII all day long. The students who don’t have active parents who push them in the homeschool curriculum would drop the average as well. I would guess that the smart homeschoolers would be as smart regardless of whether they went to public or private school too. Although, I would bet that private school kids would beat the homeschoolers and public students averages.

And I'd say that you're most likely wrong. Parents who are willing (and able) to spend the time and effort to homeschool aren't going to allow their child to just play the Wii all day long. While there may be a few isolated cases where this happens, it's most certainly not common.

I’m not so sure of that. I pulled my son out of school before he got kicked out. Surprise...he could read but couldn’t understand what he was reading. He was later tested at a highschool. He scored above 8th grade level...(that is as high as they tested). We home school moms may not do everything perfect but we make sure they can read how to play the video games anyway :’)

You need to investigate who the winners are in the last ten years in the national spelling bees. And who comes in second third. I’ll put home school children up against private or public school any day. It’s like running Ferrari’s against Yugo’s, you know who’s going to win.Why do you think the the NEA tried to stop the home school children from competing in the spelling bees.
