Former Secretary of State Colin Powell is lending his stature to an initiative from the incoming administration to connect volunteers with causes that need them.
President-elect Barack Obama's "Renew America Together" initiative will officially launch a Web site on Martin Luther King Day, January 19, to help people answer the call. Obama's inauguration is the following day.
The Web site, www.USAservice.org, will allow people to offer their time or resources and be contacted by people in the community who need that type of help.
Powell said the site will follow the model of craigslist.org, a worldwide virtual bulletin board where users can post free classified ads.

The R.A.T initiative? At least the name is fitting.
I’m really beginning to lose patience with these assh**es. I knew Powell was a RINO during the UN meetings prior to going into Iraq. Now hes not only a RINO but a barry kiss as*.
Holy Mackerel dere Colin! Don,t think this gonna play in Peoria.
What services can Obots lend? Burning churches, vandalizing shops and throwing rocks?
How many of these damn “service volunteer” things does this country need anyway? Every damn ‘RAT president has come up with one of them.
Where are all FR’s Powell defenders now?
come on ya’ll...come on down and call us all bad names.
“The R.A.T initiative? At least the name is fitting.”
LOL! I didn’t even notice, I bet neither did Obama or they would have changed the name “Renew America Together”.

Did you see Cosby called Hannity a racist in a news story today?
Most of these ‘RAT “volunteer” groups end up “registering voters” at nursing homes. That’s about it.
YYYYYYAAAAAAWWWWWWWWNNNNNNNN.
instead of volunteers, how about making those that are on the public dole get off their dead a$$’s and go volunteer. They owe us stupid taxpayers anyways for supporting their lazy lifestyle.
