It started long before this. Long before katrina when the government confiscated peoples personal firearms saying it was for safety and law and order. The government will disarm the very people who will make up the militias to back them up in case of attack by a foriegn or domestic terrorists.

It has been going on incrementally for a long time. The sad thing is that people keep equating the Second Amendment with hunting rights. Why would people ever arm themselves if it wasn’t to hunt or target shoot?
Children should be taught in elementary school that this proud nation was founded on open, armed, rebellion against a tyrant who was trying to take the fruits of their labors and redistribute them.
