Do we want a LONG TERM policy or a one month policy ?I was agreeing with you that we need a long-term policy. I was disagreeing with you that the Bush rebate checks did nothing when they actually did do something, just not something lasting.

The US economy can’t continue to operate in an environment where debt finances people’s consumption. The government might be able to continue down this road but even it can’t do this forever.
