Palestine? Hmmm... I didn’t realize the Pali’s had their own state.

Israel is *part* of Palestine. Historically, and I mean 20th century history, Palestine included what is now Jordan, Israel, the so called Palestinian territories. Jordan then became "Trans-Jordon" (across the Jordan), with Palestine reduced to mostly current Israel and the "West Bank".

When I was a grade school, and even junior high, student, if you said you were going to Palistine, you meant Israel, and the West Bank, then under Jordanian occupation.
