My first thought is to not believe this. This was ransom from the Saudi tanker, right? After shaking down the richest muzzies in the world for millions of dollars wouldn’t you want to fake your own death and have your bodies and the money “disappear”?
Eight of a reported dozens of pirates were on that particular boat. Five of the eight died. I don't see that faking the deaths adds up.
