I have considered it for my homeschoolers, especially after much success in my co-op class with 1984 and Brave New World last semester (High School Novels). I don’t think it would work for my middle-schooler because of its length and sexual content. But I’ve been itching to discuss it with others who have read it!

RE the movie - I seriously doubt any movie based on it now will do it justice. I doubt the book would have even been published if it had been written in recent years. And if literary critics didn’t like it, it was probably because they didn’t like how they and their friends were portrayed in it. I’m not done with it yet, but I think it’s extremely well written.
