Watch the Black market after this increase. I will bet there is a very small increase in actual revenue with this punitive tax. It will be gasoline next folks.

And then we’ll need another tax to “bail out” tobacco farmers hurt by the rising price in cigarettes caused by Hoyer’s tax...

We’ve already got a proposed gas tax increase here in NC because of decreased revenue from lack of driving. It’s a wonderful whipsaw isn’t it?

52% of the voters believe that the government can do a better job at managing the economy then the free market and therefore welcome , with open arms , all new taxes..........I actually have conversations with people who make 6 figures that believe we should raise taxes ........I have become speechless at their lack of knowledge in both history and economics.....

I think I read somewhere yesterday that $170 mil of gas tax money here in NC was spent on a lot of things other than roads.

Question:Is there an ballot initiative process in NC?
