Anne Hathaway, who is currently promoting two movies, a serious-ish family melodrama Rachel Getting Married, for which she is being tipped for an Oscar nomination, and a knockabout comedy called Bride Wars, has expressed some uncertainty about Barack Obama. Her gripe is over the President-elect's decision to allow Pastor Rick Warren, a fundamentalist Christian described by some as a "hate preacher", to deliver one of the invocation speeches at his inauguration on January 20. "I expect him to explain that choice of Rick Warren," says the 26-year-old, Vassar-educated actress (pictured). "I don't get it. All my friends and I were trying to figure it out, but we just can't"…………

The sad part is that this wrong thinking is probably a result of attending Vassar and other liberal institutions of “higher” learning.
I suspect she might have been almost normal beforehand...

remember how that whole comming out worked for Anne Heche just before the release of her movie opposit Harrison Ford.
Makes one wonder if this “Two Bride” movie she has comming out is just a metaphore for two lesbians getting married and it is just a disgused BS story of what happens which a wedding is two crazy women.

As for the rumors, who knows and who cares? That kind of entirely unsourced thing can be completely fabricated.
It ought to be enough to say that she doesn't know what she's talking about when it comes to politics and other weighty questions and leave it at that. Us talking about things that we don't know about either doesn't add anything or rebut her.

I thought this was going to be about Wright. I find her unwatchable, but hold out hope that the Rachel/Wedding film will be redeeming.

I bet the original treatment was to be about two crazy brides getting married to each other. It was probably reworked into the current effort to flog popcorn and dvd’s.
It does not matter, just like the dixie chix, this idiocy should not be rewarded or encouraged.
Very interesting and perhaps that’s why it didn’t come to my the theaters in my local area. I thought it was about a young woman fresh out of rehab with a dysfunctional family.
I was refering to the two bride movie.
I figured the “serious” one was the usual nonsense of a low release serious movie which NOBODY wants to see in order to get teh oscar “buzz” then general release after they finegle an oscar nod.
Kind predictable the way they manipulate the oscars for profit.
I bet they were counting on the public being oblivious to her left wing nuttyness.
After this fiasco, her bankability should be in the enron range.
I thought I got the memo saying that we’re all coming together with the majority Dems to “make happy things happen”. In which case the left wing will continue to rule Hollywood as well as the government.
